Who We Are
Big Pine Comedy Festival was founded in 2015 as an independent festival based in Flagstaff, Arizona. In 2017 Broken Drift Productions assumed production duties and has overseen its growth since.
Originally held in the mountains of Flagstaff, the festival moved to a virtual format in fall 2020, then became a traveling — or "floating" — festival in 2021, moving between venues across the Southwest:
- **October 2021** — House of Comedy, Phoenix, AZ
- **May & October 2022** — Mic Drop Comedy, San Diego
- **September 2023 – April 2025** — Mic Drop Comedy Chandler
Broken Drift Productions exists to provide genuine, career-building opportunities for comics through comedian education, high-caliber performances and real industry relationships. Every year the festival draws club owners, bookers, talent representatives, managers and producers.
We also produce quarterly Comedy Camp events and partner with industry leaders including Laughs Unlimited, Mic Drop Comedy and Stir Crazy Comedy Club.
The festival emphasises professionalism, progress and opportunity — for everyone on the stage and behind it.
